In India almost all of the people are eating food which is adulterated with some of the very harmful chemicals like methanol,arsenic,barium,cadmium,cobalt and many other harmful chemicals.These chemicals can lead to harmful diseases like cancer,blindness,paralysis,brain damage and even death.Even after knowing this most of the people will continue using them without even bothering that by eating this they can get such harmful diseases.

Tea which is a very common beverage in India is adulterated by Foreign leaves or exhausted tea leaves and saw dust artificially colored .Consuming this tea can lead to cancer.

Dairy products, baked foods especially custard or cream-filled foods, meat and meat products, low-acid frozen foods, salads, cream sauces, etc. are adulterated by Staphylococcus aureus Entero-toxins-A,B,C,D or E (bacterial contaminants) .consuming it can lead to Increased salivation, vomiting, abdominal cramp, diarrhoea, severe thirst, cold sweats, prostration.


there are also some methods by which you can check that the food that you consume is not adulterated
  • If any extraneous additions of coloring matter is added, the same is mentioned on the labels.
  • Addition of artificial sweetener is mentioned on the labels.



  • Food prepared in rusted containers, chipped enamel containers and untinned copper/brass utensils are treated as unfit for human consumption

    • Containers not made of plastic material which  is not according to the standards are not to be used
    • Milk powder or condensed milk can be sold only with ISI mark
